1. Passengers travelling to Nepal by both Air and Land do not need to present PROOF OF VACCINATION or NEGATIVE PCR REPORT.
2. While departing from Nepal, passengers do not need to provide any Covid related documents but need to follow the requirements in the country you are flying to.

Nepal Government, Council of Ministers has done the following decisions for the tourists travelling to Nepal by both Air and Land.
1. Passenger entering to Nepal from abroad by air or land must submit a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19. Passengers who failed to submit such certificate will have to submit certificate with Negative report of Covid 19 test (RTPCR, True NAAT, Gene Xpert) within 72 hours prior the journey (First point of origin).
(No need to submit PCR test report for Fully Vaccinated Tourists)
2. For the passengers going to other countries by air route from Nepal, the concerned airlines have to inform their passengers about the health protocol related to COVID 19 of the destination country. The health related documents to be submitted by the passengers departing from Nepal will be as per the health related criteria of the destination country as prescribed by the concerned airlines.
(No mandatory PCR Test Requirement while departing from Nepal )

Nepal Government, Council of Ministers has decided on 29th November the following provisions considering the New Variant of Covid-19, OMICRON to the tourists travelling to Nepal,
1. Travelers arriving to Nepal from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Nambia, Lesotho, Iswatini, Mozambique, Malawi and Hongkong as first port of embarkation or transit or with the travel history of above countries within past 3 weeks are restricted to enter Nepal from 2nd December, 2021 midnight until further notice.
2. Travelers from High Risk countries classified by the Ministry of Health and Population (www.mohp.gov.np) have to follow the following protocols:
- No Visa On Arrival
- 7 Days Hotel Quarantine at self expenses
- PCR Test on 7th Day and if tested positive, need to stay at Government approved quarantine center until tests negative
3. Besides above mentioned countries, protocols Updated on 23rd September, 2021 will be applied.

Nepal Government approved Visa on Arrival and No Quarantine for Fully Vaccinated Tourists visiting to Nepal with few conditions,
1. Certification of Full Vaccination
before 14 days arriving to Nepal.
2. A Negative RT-PCR or
Gene Expert or True NAAT test is required undergone before
72 hours of boarding the flight from the first origin point.
3. Copy of Trek or Expedition Permits who
comes for Trekking and Mountaineering
4. Must fill up the online form at www.ccmc.gov.np
in advance
5. Proof of Hotel Booking
Can be entered

Following the decision of Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers on 21st June, 2021, all passengers (Nepali and Foreign Nationals) travelling into Nepal are required to follow the enlisted health and quarantine protocols compulsory with the immediate effect;
1, Must have medical certificate with a negative RT-PCR or equivalent testing Gene Xpert/True NAAT) with photo identification and Bar Code/QR Code (as per the availability, Nepali diplomatic mission at country of departure may prescribe otherwise) issued by the registered COVID-19 Labs of respective countries within 72 hours from the swab collection time to the departure time of the flight with exemption of test report for their minors below the age of Five years,
2. Must possesses the printed Barcode obtained after the filling up ARMS (Abroad Returnee Management System) forms available at the website of CCMC, Nepal (www.ccmcgov.np).
3. Except exempted as per clause (4) , are subjected to furnish the evidence of hotel bookings of 7 Days for quarantine at their own cost in the hotels listed by the Ministry if Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation/Nepal Tourism Board or CCMC, Nepal.
4. Travelers as categorized below on basis of specified documents, are subjected to home /self quarantine of 10 Days upon arrival,
a. Passengers with complete COVID-19 vaccination certificate
b. Those coming for emergency purposes like funerals and mourning with a Negative Antigen test and recommendation by concerned local levels.
c. Sick people as well as their carers, senior citizens above 70 years, children below Five years and their guardians, and differently abled people, certified by hospitals and with a Negative Antigen test and recommendation from respective local levels,
d. Government Employees, Security Personnel, diplomats, staffs of Diplomatic Mission in Nepal/International Organizations/INGOs and their families returning to Nepal and Individuals/volunteers involved in Rescue Mission of Human Trafficking Victims and Nepalis stranded abroad based on their office/mission recommendation
e. Expats returning to Nepal, owing to deportation/liberation are subjected to hotel quarantine of 7 days under the entire management of Government of Nepal in line with the recommendation of concerned Nepali Diplomatic Mission.
5. Airlines Crew members are subjected to the Health protocols developed by concerned Airlines as per the guidelines of ICAO.
6. All of those spending their quarantine in the hotels/homes have to do RT-PCR tests on the 7th and 11th day of the arrival.
In case if any one is found flouting the provisions of hotel/home quarantine, she/he will be punished under the COVID-19 CRISIS MANAGMENET ORDIANCE-2021.

1. Turkish Airlines for Istanbul/Kathmandu/Istanbul, every Thursday effective from 3rd June,2021
2. Nepal Airlines for Kathmandu/Doha/Kathmandu, every Monday effective from 7th June,2021
3. Qatar Airlines for Doha/Kathmandu/Doha, every Monday effective from 7th June,2021
4. Nepal Airlines for Kathmandu/Delhi/Kathmandu, every Wednesday as per Air Bubble Transport Agreement
5. Air India for Delhi/Kathmandu/Delhi, every Friday as per Air Bubble Transport Agreement

1. Suspension of All International schedule passenger flights have been extended till 31st May midnight (23:59 hours)- Nepal Standard Time ( 5:45 GMT). However weekly 2 flights will be operating between Nepal and India (Nepal Airlines and Air India) under Air Bubble Agreement during the period.
2. Arriving passenger from India must undergo 10 Days mandatory quarantine on their own cost on hotels enlisted by Ministry by Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
3. Passengers are required to furnish PCR Negative Report with photo identification and barcode while arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.
DOMESTIC FLIGHTS:
1. All domestic passenger flights have been suspended until further notice.
CHARTER , CARGO AND RESCUE FLIGHTS
1. Charter, Cargo and Rescue flights, both domestic and international can be operated with the permission of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

The followings protocols has been issued on 29th April, 2021 by the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) for managing the arrival of International tourist to Nepal.
A. THE PROCESS FOR ENTRY TO NEPAL (VISA RELATED)
1. Tourist visiting Nepal must take their visa from Nepal’s Diplomacy Mission from their respective country.
2. In absence of Nepal’s Diplomacy Mission or in case of difficulty in availing visa in the home country, visitors arriving by air can get On Arrival Visa from the Immigration Desk at Tribhuvan International Airport.
However, such tourists must have Pre Visa Recommendation Letter issued by Department of Tourism (DOT) or Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
3. DOT or NTB shall issue the Visa Recommendation Letter; only after the submission all the required documents by concerned local Travel/Trek Agency in Nepal.
B. FOR TOURISTS COMING TO NEPAL
4. All tourists visiting Nepal must furnish the following documents in the Airline Check-in Counter before boarding:
a. PCR Negative Report of swab taken within 72 hours of boarding or report of complete Vaccination against Covid-19.
However, it is advisable for everyone to still get a PCR Negative Report taken within 72 hours as the airline or rule of some countries may require the PCR Negative Report for outbound travel.
b. Copy of Nepalese Visa or Visa Recommendation Letter from Department of Tourism or Nepal Tourism Board.
c. 10 Days Hotel Booking Confirmation for Quarantine.
d. Copy of Travel Insurance that covers health, immediate crisis or rescue for the duration of the travel.
e. Barcode generated after the Online Application of International Travel Arrival Form from https://ccmc.gov.np/arms/person_add_en.php
5. The concerned Airlines shall give the Boarding clearance to the passenger after making sure that the passenger has all the above documents.
C. AFTER ARRIVING IN NEPAL
6. All incoming tourists must stay 10 Days Mandatory Quarantine at hotel whether vaccinated or not.
The tourist can continue with their itinerary (program) after 10 Days of Hotel Quarantine to the non restricted areas.
7. The local Agency must do Covid Insurance of Rs. 100,000 for their staffs accompanying their guest.
D. SPECIAL PROVISION TO INDIAN TOURISTS
8. For Indian tourists arriving in Nepal through Air Route, the existing provisions will remain as per the “Nepal-India Travel Bubble Agreement”. A negative test within 72 hours of boarding and 10 Days of Hotel Quarantine is mandatory.
9. Indian tourists arriving by land to Nepal must have to submit PCR Negative Test done within 72 hours at the Immigration point at Nepal India Border Point and 10 Days of Hotel Quarantine is mandatory.
10. Along with the PCR Negative Report, tourist must bring the Barcode generated after the Online Application of International Travel Arrival Form from https://ccmc.gov.np/arms/person_add_en.php

VIA LAND BORDERS
Only Indian and Chinese Travelers can travel to Nepal via land borders and all the protocols must be followed including 10 days mandatory hotel Quarantine.
NOTICE REGARDING TRANSIT FLIGHTS VIA TRIBHUVAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT | AS ON 27TH APRIL, 2021
As the notice issued by Department of Immigration, all the arrival of foreigners intending to travel third countries via Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and using TIA as transit airport will be restricted(Suspended) from 28th April,2021 midnight until further notice.
