Overview

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is one of few treks that combine so many different landscapes and bring us so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000 meter peaks in a such a short period of time. It is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region that  goes alongside terraced rice paddies, dotted villages, lush rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna Range in view most of the times. The walk-in to the Sanctuary provides an experience of the great variety of landscape types which serve to make Nepal such a special trekking destination. We will pass through a diverse geographical and cultural variation with an amazing range of Flora and Fauna in between.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek 12 Days has been specially designed for the trekkers who want to complete Annapurna Base Camp but are restricted time-wise. This ABC Trek begins in Kimche nearby Nayapul and ends at Kande. During the trek, we encounter sub-tropical heat, pretty villages and neatly terraced rice fields. Gaining height gradually, we enjoy several days of pleasant walking with a mix of abundant forest and scattered areas of farmed land. Finally, beyond the last of the bamboo and rhododendron woodland, the valley narrows at the entrance to the world of ice and snow that is the Annapurna Sanctuary. Throughout the walk-in, there are outstanding panoramas of the high peaks to the north, and the contrast of the rice-fields and villages with the snow peaks above, makes for very picturesque trekking indeed. Finally, our trip ends at Kande before we drive to back to Pokhara. Pokhara, enhances by its lovely lakes, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas.

The best season for Annapurna Base Camp Trek is Autumn and Spring for good mountain visibility and cool weather and can be trekked around the year except in extreme winter and monsoon. If you want to do the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in more relaxed way, we would recommend you to consider our Annapurna Sanctuary Trek–17 days which includes Ghorepani Poon Hill as well.

Reviews for the Trip

Amazing Trek Experience

(5/5)

I organised a trek to Annapurna Base Camp during 13- 22 Nov 19 for the 8 members of the British Armed Forces including some senior officers. I really needed this expedition to go smoothly and I was really in a need for a company who can provide the porters and guide who are reliable and trustworthy. I approached Alpine Holidays and the service the company provided was outstanding.
