Langtang Region Trekking

Langtang Region might be the best option for the trekkers who have short period of time and to experience the mountain vistas and culture of local people. It is nearby and north of Kathmandu bordering to Tibet. Most of the people are Tamang and of Tibetan Origin who has years of culture. The craftsmanship, dress, traditionally-built stone houses, and the beautifully carved wooden porches reflect their rich Himalayan heritage

Partly protected as Langtang National Park gives the Himalayan experience and insight into life style and culture of inhabitant Tamang people.

Tserko Ri (4,983 m) is a hill far over Kyangjin Gompa to overview the Himalayan range of Nepal and Tibet . Kyangjin Ri at 4,773 m just above Kyangjin Gompa gives the opportunity to admire Langtang Lirung and glaciers.

This region was greatly affected by the Great Earthquake of April, 2015 Langtang village was totally swept away and has to be re located to new area.

Langtang has over 70 glaciers of varying sizes, the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges, and high-altitude lakes including Gosainkunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavkunda, and Dudhkunda. Langtang Lirung at 7,245 m is the highest mountain in the area.
