Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1,350 m/4,430 ft)

After arriving at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our representative. Please look for signage of Alpine Holidays with your name once you come out of Arrival Terminal Hall after collecting your luggage. You will be escorted by our representative to the hotel. In the evening, we will organize a Welcome Dinner at a traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as a fine local Nepali meal.

Day 02: Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swyombhunath Stupa

After breakfast, we do sightseeing of monuments in Kathmandu. We visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and also pay homage to living Goddess, Kumari. Then we will drive to Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple) on a small hill over-viewing Kathmandu and mountains. In the afternoon, we will visit Pashupatinath Temple, a famous Hindu temple at the bank of holy Bagmati River where Hindu people cremate dead body for salvation. Afterwards, drive to Boudhanath Stupa which is among the largest Stupas in South Asia, and it has become the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal.

Day 03: Drive to Chitwan (180kms/6 Hours), enroute Rafting

After early breakfast, start drive to Chitwan on South which is around 180 kms from Kathmandu and usually takes 5/6 hours as we need to drive along a small and hilly highway. Enroute we enjoy Rafting at Trihsuli River for 2/3 hours with picnic lunch. Upon arrival at lodge in Chitwan, welcome by naturalist. He will be guiding us till our stay in Chitwan. Know about Chitwan, indigenous Tharu people, their lifestyle, about Chitwan National park, flora and fauna, climate and many more. Evening, there will a Tharu Cultural Program with information session. Participate in dance program with local Tharu dancers. You can enjoy dinner during program or after the program.

Day 04: Chitwan Jungle Activities

Early morning guests will be mounted on Elephant back or Jeep Ride and taken for a jungle safari for approximately 2 hours penetrating through dense grasslands to view wildlife in their natural habitat. After breakfast, you are taken to our elephant stables where a senior naturalist briefs about the interesting and unbelievable habits of elephant. Here one may witness the rare scene of the elephants at bath. After lunch in the afternoon, you may choose to relax around the resort or take a drive for canoe ride down the Rapti River. The river ride provides opportunity of viewing the Gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds. OR, you may also feel like going for a nature walk with one of our naturalists to know more about the flora of the Chitwan National Park. Those on canoe ride are taken back to the resort by drive from the end‐point.

Day 05: Drive to Lumbini(140kms/4 Hours) and Lumbini Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel, we drive to Lumbini, enroute visit Ramnagar Stupa, which is only relic left among 8 relics of Buddha. Visit Lumbini Garden, including Mayadevi Temple where Gautam Buddha was born. There is a sacred pond next to the temple where Queen washed her body before and after she gave birth to prince. Visit World Peace Stupa and different monasteries made by different countries including Thai Monastery, Japanese, and Nepalese etc.

Day 06: Drive to Pokhara via Tansen( 205kms/6 Hours)

After breakfast at hotel, we start our drive to Tansen. Once we left Butwal town, we start driving on narrow hilly road and drive up to the town of Tansen. Upon arrival at Tansen, we walk around Bazaar and visit temples, palace, Dhaka factory etc. After lunch, we continue our drive to Pokhara.

Day 07: Pokhara Sightseeing and Trek to Astham

After breakfast, we proceed for short sightseeing of Pokhara valley which includes, Devi’s fall, Mahadev Cave, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Bindabasini Temple and we do boating at Fewa Lake to visit the Sacred Barahi Temple at the middle of the lake. After lunch, we drive to Hemja(45 minutes) and trek to Astham(1.5 Hours). Astham is a beautiful village which has panoramic view of Annapurna Range.

Day 08: Trek to Australian Camp via Dhampus(5/6 Hours)

After breakfast, we start our trek to Dhumpus which gives us fantastic views of Mountains. After lunch at Dhampus, we further trek to Australian Camp for overnight.

Day 09: Trek down to Kande(1 hour) and drive back to Pokhara.(1 Hour)

Early wake up and enjoy sunrise over mountains. Breakfast and trek down to Kande (1 hour), take an awaited vehicle and drive to Pokhara. Rest of the time is free on your own to walk around Lakeside Bazaar, shopping etc.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu.(210kms/6-7 Hours)

After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu which takes around 6/7 hours via Prithivi Highway. We stop for lunch at the Muglin for lunch and continue drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu and before farewell dinner, you can walk around Thamel. Evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.
