Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, after visa procedures and baggage collection, please see the signage of Alpine Holidays at the airport. Our office representative takes you to the hotel and assists you for check-in. After check-in, rest of the day is free for freshen up and relaxation. Evening, enjoy Nepali dinner with cultural program followed by tour briefing.

Optional Tour – Everest Flight In the morning, there is the opportunity to take a flight to Everest. These flights offer a panoramic view of the Himalaya in just one hour. Mountain flight in Nepal is to be “Once in a lifetime experience”. After breakfast at hotel, we start our day with visit to Pashupatinath Temple, a famous Hindu temple at the bank of holy Bagmati River where Hindu people cremate dead body for salvation. Afterwards, drive to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest and beautiful Stupas in the world. Spend time around Stupa. In the late afternoon, drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square also called Kasthamandap, from which the name of Kathmandu was originated, where you can see living goddess, Kumari. Walk around to the Freak Street, which used to be very famous in early 1960s to late 1970s for hippies. This is the mostly affected Square in Kathmandu because of Great Earthquake of April, 2015. Now, this is in renovation process.

After breakfast at hotel, we drive to south east part of Kathmandu to a local village called Khopasi via Panauti, which is one of the ancient towns of Kathmandu Valley at Kavre district. Enroute, once we left Bhaktapur city, countryside starts just in a drive of 30 minutes terraced fields. We might see people engaging in fields depending on season. We stop and take opportunity to participate with them. Once we reach Khopasi, we spend little time at village and hike for around 1 hour to our resort in Balthali crossing few suspension bridges over small rivers through fields and villages. Just beyond Panauti town and Khopasi (40 KM southeast from Kathmandu) lies one of the rich cultural and natural destination of Balthali, with an epic view of fields dotted with ochre painted houses and faint hue of Himalayan peaks in the north horizon. It offers a sunrise in the east, speculating Himalayan range of Manaslu, Langtang in the north, innumerable rice terraces in the west & huge bodied green forest of Mahabharata range in the South. One of the most important factors of this spot is that it is warm in the winter & cool in the summer. The area of Balthali is cover of various flora, colorful rhododendron forest, and magnolia & Sal trees. Deciding to come to Balthali is deciding to go really off the beaten path. Till now the resort has been a closely guarded secret kept by serious mountain bikers, hikers and of course, writers. After lunch at resort, we visit local villages around Balthali.

We wake up early in the morning to enjoy Sunrise (Weather Condition) over the Valley and Mountains. After breakfast, we hike down to Khopasi and drive back to Panauti. At the confluence of the Roshi and Punyamati rivers, and believed to be situated on one single rock, is a historical Newar town that is one of the oldest in the Kathmandu valley. Indreshwar Mahadev Temple,Krishna Temple, Unmata Bhairav Temple,Brahmayani Temple are the famous monuments in Panauti. We spend time visiting local people, rice fields and many more. This day, we are spending a night at a local home to experience Nepalese hospitality, culture and cuisine.

In the early morning, this is very interesting to see local people’s activities of worshiping god and goddess in the temple and take some photos before Sunrise. We have breakfast at local house and drive to another beautiful city of Dhulikhel which is a hill station and equipped few old houses dated back 200 years. We spend couple of hours at local town and drive back to Bhaktapur. Check-in into hotel in Bhaktapur, an ancient Newari town which is also called city of living museum and city of devotees. We spend half day walking around the square to see various monuments and pottery square. Evening, walk around to the Palace to see the daily ceremonies of the local people and the monuments.

Early morning, go around to the square to see the daily ritual of the local people of Bhaktapur. Return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we drive to another square in Lalitpur, Patan Durbar Square. Patan boasts of many famous sites and unique architecture. Krishna Mandir in this Square was built to honor an incarnation of Vishnu. One of the best examples of stone architecture in the world, scenes from Mahabharat, Asia's greatest mythological war, is carved on the temple's walls. Home to traditional artists and sculptors, one can find more temples dedicated to Ganesh (the elephant-headed god), Shiva, Narsingha, Taleju, and others are located at Patan Durbar Square. After lunch, we drive to Swayambhunath Stupa also called Monkey Temple, a Stupa in a small hill of Kathmandu over viewing Kathmandu valley and the surrounding mountains. After sightseeing, drive back to Thamel. Thamel is a tourist hub and famous for multi cuisine restaurants, bars, clubs and for shopping. Eve: Enjoy farewell dinner at one of the nice restaurant.
