1. Everest Flight by Schedule Plane

This one hour flight to Everest Region operates daily from Kathmandu Domestic Airport.  These are the fixed wings and ensure window seats to the every traveler. Once it flies from Kathmandu, it lands nowhere in the middle and lands at Kathmandu airport. This is the most do flight in lifetime. You get closer view of Mt. Everest in a distance of 20 miles. When you fly from Kathmandu airport, you see Langtang Lirung to Mt. Everest to the east including above 8,000 meters like Mt. Cho-Oyo, Shisha Pangma, Lotse and Mt. Everest and other beautiful mountains like Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Gaurishankar, various glaciers and lakes. Everest flight is also worth to understand the geography of Nepal. You will fly at the altitude of around 25,000 ft.

2.Everest Flight by Helicopter

One of the luxurious and lifetime experience tour to Everest Region by Private Helicopter is something unimaginable and beyond your expectation. Helicopter flies from Kathmandu to Everest Region and over Everest Base camp. Imagine the landing at Kalapatthar at an altitude of 5,643 m/18,500 ft... Spending few minutes with a close view of Mt. Everest, world’s highest mountain and it’s neighbors Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholatse and many more.
This is the great opportunity to understand the mountain Sherpa people of Khumbu region and the geography of Nepal. On your way back from Kalapatthar, you will fly over Gokyo Lakes which are a set of 6 tranquil lakes.

We spend around 1 hour in Syangboche at Everest View Lodge. Can you imagine, you are having Champagne Breakfast at 3,800 meters?
From Syangboche, you see Mt. Everest and its neighbors, Mt. Amadablam, Kongde Mountain and many more. 

Alternatively, we can fly to Lukla by Schedule flight and do Heli Everest tour. If you are in that region, we can do from various places like Phakding, Namche, Syangboche and Tengboche. But flying to Lukla by Plane is highly depends on whether condition and the schedule might not be actual. 

Schedule:

We will drive to airport at 05:45 hours in the morning. After having boarding pass, we drive to the Heli Pad at Kathmandu Airport. Pilot will brief you on the safely measurements.  Next, we fly to Lukla and unload the fuels. From Lukla, either we fly over Gokyo or straightly to Kalapatthar.  However, we do not land at Everest Base Camp but will fly over. After spending around 8-10 minutes, we fly back to Syangboche. Remember, the helicopter will be standby without Engine Off.  In Syangboche, we spend around 45 minutes to 1 hour at Everest View Lodge having Champagne Breakfast. After breakfast, we fly back to Lukla. Do not forget to see the biggest town in that region, Namche Bazaar. At Lukla, we stop for fueling and fly back to Kathmandu Airport.
The total Capacity of Helicopter is 5 people excluding Pilot. If we are more than 3 people, we need to do shuttle either from Pheriche or Syangboche. Total duration of Heli Everest View will be around 4 to 04:30 hours from Kathmandu.

 

Chandragiri Hill by Cable Car

When you get tired of Kathmandu City, usually you won’t, Chandragiri is among the newly famous Hill stations near Kathmandu after accessible by Cable Car. Chandragiri Hills is in southwest of Kathmandu valley in elevation of 2,550 meters. It is hill from where King Prithivi Narayan Shah saw the beautiful Kathmandu valley and decided to annex to his Kingdom. He is the king who unified Nepal. 

From the point of natural beauty, this is the best place to view Kathmandu valley on northeast and Chitlang valley on Southwest. The major mountains seen from top are Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu and Langtang Lirung. If you see from View Tower with binocular, you can see the whole range from Annapurna on west to Everest on east on the clear day. At the top of the station, there is famous Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple-temple of Lord Shiva and other amenities like food court, restaurants and bars, shopping centre, conference centre, view tower and Chandragiri Hills Resort with outdoor swimming pool.  There is a nice hiking trail to the hill. You can hike either both ways or one way hike and one way by Cable car.  

The station is 14 kms from Kathmandu and takes around 1 hour by car. It operates every day from 8am to 5 pm in the weekdays and 7am to 6 pm in the weekends. Cable Car line is of 2.4 kms and takes around 10-12 minutes to reach the top of station at 2,500 meters.
