Ghorepani Poon
Hill Trek is one of the exciting classical treks of Nepal which goes around
Annapurna Foothills. This trail goes to the Poon Hill at 3,210 m which is the
highest point of the trek offers the best panoramic views of Annapurna Range
with Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Mardi, Nilgiri. During Sunrise and
Sunset, the views are just beyond imagination. This trek passes through
riverside, beautiful settlements of Magar and Gurung people, dense Rhododendron
forests which is national flower of Nepal, various flora and fauna, rice fields

Shortest Poon
Hill Trek starts from morning flight to Pokhara drive to Ulleri via Nayapul for
2.5 hours. We escape the steep stone steps of Ulleri on the trek. From Ulleri, we
stat our trek to Ghorepani and stay overnight. Next morning, we wake up early
to hike to Poon hill to get the best views of mountain vistas over Sunrise.
After spending sometime over tea/coffee, we trek down to Ghorepani for
breakfast and trek to Ghandruk via Tadapani. Next day, we trek down to Kyimche
for 1 and ½ hours and take our vehicle back to Pokhara.
Shortest
Ghorepani Trek is the best option for the trekkers who are physically fit and
have limited time. The best season for this trek is Autumn, Spring and Winter.
In the monsoon time, off road from Nayapul to Ulleri gets too slippery and not
in condition. If you have more time and want to do Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in
more relaxed way, you can consider Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek via Ghandruk,
Landruk, Dhampus which ends at Phedi.
